We arrived in Bundaberg, Australia October 2008. Then we sailed south to Yamba. Yamba will be our base until the new crewmember has arrived, and the little one and the mother is ready to travel.
We were not all alone out there underway to Australia. Heidi became seasick for the first time - maybe the comming baby is the reason? The running backstay is put in place.
Jet another Dorado on its way in the trawler-door. Sometimes the water can get really high in Bundaberg... If it is a kangaroo or a wallaby we don't know, but this one was the first jumping animal we met after arriving in Australia.
We just dropped the anchor in the narrow canal inside Fraser island, when we understood that some weather was comming... In 5 minutes it got windy, up to 20m/s, but after 1 hour it was calm and sunny again.
Approching Brisbane and Morton Bay. Empire underway south along the Australian east coast. It is long time since we last saw creatures like this.
Bjørnar and the Captain studies the chart for the shallow and narrow waterways inside Fraser Island. At Jaacobs Well we had to wait for less wind and higher water...  
The sign says; "Shoals less than 1m at low tide"... Empire's draft is 2m, and the (calibrated) echosounder says... Southport, Queensland, Australia.
Eivind & Heidi. Seaworld, Southport. You can be a dolphin-trainer for a day... If you are going to get married, you can do it onboard "s/y Church".
A thunderstorm passing by Yamba. You don't find roadsigns like this in Norway. Grafton is also called "Jacaranda City" - wonder why ?
