Australia - Cawongla, Beaver Creek, June - October 2010

Safely tied to the dock in Yamba with bigger and bigger tummy - at least for Heidi - we met our Swedish/Finish friends in Cawongla again. Originally we met Bror when he was crewing the Swedish yacht Sawubona, when both Sawubona and Empire sailed in Patagonian waters in the beginning of 2007. When we arrived in Australia for the first time in 2008 we met Broro and his family.
Madeleine and Bror settled in Australia many years ago. Now they run a little farm situated about two hours drive north west of Yamba. We visited them at their farm many times during our first Australia visit - and also many times this second time in Australia. With Heidi on a short visit to Norway, the Captain even took care of the farm alone for a few weeks in the middle of the calfing season. The farmer himself travelled home to Finland for a visit there...

"Tactor" and "bullerullerull" (buldozer) was Eirik`s favourites. The farm Beaver Creek, Cawongla, New South Wales. With her steadily increasing tummy, Heidi preferred to stay on ground level...
Eirik learned early that when the chickens say "bakbakbak" - there is eggs on its way.
Horse catching an early morning... Nina, the daughter on the farm, visiting from Brisbane.
From Madeleine`s garden. "Gate" - one of Eirik`s first English words...
At Beaver Creek you will find about 130 cows - and many calves. Cutting down a tree for a neighbour - a climbing Captain was of good use!
Exciting and a bit scary with the big bulls. Not always aubidient - both of them! The favourite place behind the wheel.
