Towards Australia - again, April 2010

With newly granted Visa for Australia, we left Puteri Harbour in Malaysia and sailed through Indonesia towards Australia. We headed for Thursday Island, Gove or Darwin -
wind and weather along the way would decide where our landfall in Australia would be.

Christopher Blake signed on in Puteri Harbour. Eirik did his watches - 12 hours on and 12 hours off.
Body hygiene is important also on a long voyage - for young and not so young!
The Volvo Penta definitely had enough to do through Indonesia...
Little wind has the advantage that it is much easier to work aloft.

Eirik's every day life - most of the time a happy boy, but sometimes
the safety line is not long enough ...

Eiriks second - Empires third - Equator crossing.
Eirik enjoys the time of the day when the sun is not that warm enyomre.
Eirik is there - everytime a boat passes - not that it happened too often...
Pit stop at Louvina Beach in Bali for extra diesel (and vegetables).
We had to sail almost all the way to Gove before we finally had a fish on the hook!
Creative and beautiful fish trap - but not easy to see at night. This little fellow coose Empire as the place to stop over. Tactic meeting on fore deck.
Sleeping on mum is one of the favourites. Eirik found it exciting with a new crew member on board. Exploring on deck with Dad is fun.
The Hole in The Wall - or Guarapari Rip - this time eastbound.
Eirik likes his dinner - first his own, then therest of the crew's.
Many dark nights were lit by lightning around us - luckily in the distant.
Australia in the horizon!
