NORTH the EAST COAST of AUSTRALIA 2 - June 2011

After a month of sailing we started to get used to sailing with two small ones on board. We enjoyed the days getting warmer the further north we came. The biggest fish so far on our looong voyage was caught sailing in to Margaret Bay. 18,5 kg Wahoo!!! From Lizard Island and north we also met other sailors on a long voyage. Some of them were heading west to South Africa, as us.

Nice fishing inside The Great Barrier Reef. Sometimes the fridge got so full that the Captain was NOT allowed to fish...
Eirik  teaching Marius about all the animals he knows. Nice friends. Elephant shower behind the wheel..
Combined hamoc and chair made Marius` days more interesting.
Time for lunch... We met Jim from Townsville first time when Eirik was 5 months old. Marius and Mum.
We met the Catamaran Mou in Townsville. Eirik was very excited to find a sailing playmate.
Aquarium visit in Townsville.
On Lizard Island we all climbed to the top. From "Cook's Lookout" Captain Cook looked for the way through the reef, a "few" years ago...
Beach and lovely days on Lizard Island.
- last crocodile free anchorage inside The Great Barrier Reef.
Enjoying under and above water. Lizard, Lizard Islands...
Eirik enjoyed playing with Molly and Dylan from the English yacht Trenelly - Lizard Island. Marius and Mummy.
Rounding Cape York. There was more or less always enough wind inside The Great Barrier Reef. A gale (25knots) was the normal, luckily from behind when heading north...
