Thank you very much for the time I had on board. It was nice to spend time together with you and it was fun to be on excursions together. Port Louis, Mauritius, reminds me a little about Aker Brygge back in Oslo. This time it was only “dock sailing” with Empire, but two great mountain walk/climbs. La Pouche, 812 meters above sea level, mostly walking and some scrambling. Next day Pieter Both, 820 meters above sea level, was next in line. I didn’t get to the top of the rickety rock, but it was a great hike!! In addition relaxing, late nights, beer wine and dinners, lion park, sleeping, children screaming… bb
The priest from the Norwegian Church Abroad (The Norwegian Seamen`s Church) in Sydney also this time accepted the challenge to perform a christening on board Empire. This time it was Marius`christening - and a surprise wedding - on Empire anchored in Clarence River. With also Stella`s christening performed on Empire`s deck, the day turned out to be an eventful day. This was Lena`s first christening - and also her first wedding - on a yacht deck!

Anne signed on as Heidi`s mate of honor - but no one knew - at Marius` christening, Eirik`s 2-year birthday and our wedding at Clarence River. She was one of three really knowing what was going to happen on the river that day...

Kalle signed on as Marius` Godfather for the christening on Clarence River. He also represented the other Godparents - Camilla, Sadie and Øyvind and Tore Henning. On the cuff he also did a great job representing Arne, Eivind`s mate of honor.

Irene, Eivind`s mor, signed on for the first time as grandmother to 2 Empire sailors - on Marius`christening, Eirik`s 2-year birthday and our wedding on Clarence River.

Vigdis and Tore, Heidi`s parents, signed on for the first time as Grandparents to 2 Empire sailors - on Marius` christening, Eirik`s 2-year birthday and our wedding on Clarence River.
"We came to Yamba to celebrate Marius` christening and Eirik`s 2 year birthday the 4th of March, but got the surprise of even another christening, and the even bigger surprise of Heidi and Eivind getting married. A happening no one knew of in advance, but they used the opportunity when they had the priest on board Empire. We wish all 4 of you good luck and all the best for the future."
Stella signed on together with her big brother and mother and father for her own christening - and Marius` christening, Eirik`s 2-year birthday and our wedding on Clarence River.
